Please check this website regularly for upcoming training opportunities. If you have any suggestions for training topics we would be very interested to hear them. We will take all suggestions into consideration when finalising our training schedule.
Many owner/pilots are very keen to carry out maintenance on their own aircraft and CASA allows certain maintenance (listed in schedule 6 of the CARs) to be carried out by pilots provided that they are trained to carry out the tasks.
The course covers both theory and practical aspects of the maintenance and certification requirements, tools and calibration and hands on training for oil and filter changes, oil filter inspection, spark plug cleaning and testing, wheel and tyre maintenance and topping up fluids.
We are always adding new tasks to the list of maintenance we present in order to keep up with the latest information in the industry.
Check our website for upcoming course dates.
Formation of the Cessna 200 Series Association
After several years of trying, a social club for Cessna 200 Series owners/pilots was formed during the weekend of 5-7 September 2008. The new club, the Cessna 200 Series Association, was an initiative of the CPAA.
Aeromil (a major sponsor of the CPAA) made their facilities at Maroochydore available for the new club's inaugural flyin and formation meeting. Aeromil also hosted a lunch and hangar tour during the weekend.
If you are a Cessna 200 series owner who would like to join the club, please contact Annie Haynes, the Secretary, by email: a.haynes@bigpond.com.
